Got Clean Water?

Clean water? Did you know that there is a lack of clean water for much of the world? Most of us take for granted the water which flows freely from our taps. But for many villages in South Asia, this basic life necessity is often in short supply. The statistics are staggering that half of humanity is affected by water-related problems.

• 780 million people lack access to an improved water source; approximately one in nine people. 
• 3.41 million people die from water, sanitation and hygiene-related causes each year. 
• The water and sanitation crisis claims more lives through disease than any war through guns.

For many in Asia, safe, clean water is hard to come by. Confined to stagnant ponds, filthy rivers, and rusty wells, these people are struggling daily with water-borne illnesses. Village wells may dry up—especially during drought season—and it is not unusual for families to walk several miles just to find water for their household needs.

You can make a difference in their lives. Share a cup of clean water with someone in Asia while teaching them about the Living Water found in Jesus. Communities are willing to learn about the love of Christ after seeing God's provision for them.
