Know God?

You may know of God, but is there a relationship between you and Him?
God loves you, and you were created to know Him and to have fellowship with Him.

Bad News:

Where Did I Come From? By looking at the world around us today we can conclude that something went wrong and hinders us from having a perfect relationship with God. God tells us in His Word, the Bible, that He created the 'heavens and the earth' and also handmade the first people, Adam and Eve. But Adam and Eve disobeyed a command from our Creator, and this disobedience is called sin. You see, God wants us to love and obey Him and not out of compulsion but out of a choice. Love and obedience must be a choice.

The Wrong Way To God. Their rebellion against God brought death, suffering, and separation from God into this world and as a result we too have entered into this separation from God. Many of us try to fill our need for relationship with God with something other than God Himself. Some try to fill this void with destructive things like drugs or sexual immorality while others try to make up for this void with doing nice things. The truth is both of those directions are selfish and everyone falls short of being perfect or sinless. The Bible says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God alone is perfect and holy, and our sins separate us from God.

Good News:

The Only Way To God. God does love you, and he demonstrated His love for you by sending His Son. Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah, born of a virgin, totally without sin, God in human flesh. And the Bible says that, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life". God offers you forgiveness and a relationship with God because of what He did. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and rose again from the dead.

Which Way Are You Going? His death was the sufficient payment for our sins and He rose again from the dead to prove it. Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross in your place to take the punishment for your sins against a Holy God. Everyone, without exception, will either spend eternity with God in Heaven or without God in Hell. The good news is that God Himself came to bridge the gap, to fill the void inside of us and bring us back to Him. God loves you, and you were created to know Him and to have fellowship with Him. Jesus is the only way to be saved and said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me".

Now What?

Do you know the God of the Bible? Do you know your Creator? Are you experiencing the peace that comes from knowing your sins have been forgiven and that all is right between you and God? You can. Do it today, ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come in to your life as your Savior and King. The Bible says "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name". We can’t earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. How do you start a relationship with God?

-Admit: Confess that you have a sinned against God (1 John 3:4, James 4:17)
-Repent: Instead of running away from God turn to Him (Acts 3:19)
-Believe: Trust that Jesus paid for your sins on the cross (John 3:16-17)
-Receive: Invite Jesus to come into your heart and life (John 1:12-13)

God knows you and loves you. What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, your honesty (Romans 10:10). If you are ready to accept Christ as your Savior we suggest praying the following prayer:

"Lord Jesus Christ,
I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life and confess I have sinned against you. I ask your forgiveness and now turn from everything which I know is wrong and turn to you instead. Thank you for dying on the cross for me to set me free from my sins, thank you that You rose from the grave to give me life eternal. I receive You now Jesus into my life and ask that you would fill me with your Holy Spirit and be with me forever. I surrender myself to You and thank You for loving me, in Jesus' name.
Amen."
Did you pray this prayer? Welcome to God's family! Remember that God promises in His Word that if we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Make sure that you tell someone about your commitment to follow Jesus. We would love to be praying for you so please let us know by sending us an E-Mail.
