Great article called The Temperature of Power - Copper Pointe 212 Student Ministries
Youth Pastor says, "I really believe in getting people into the Gospel, and Faith Comes by Hearing is the worldwide leader in that. When we heard about the opportunity to sponsor the Audio New Testament recording for the Digo people, our students jumped on it. We don't want to play church—we are the church. One of the problems with the American church is they have youth groups just to have church for teenagers, instead of realizing the youth are the church and God can do something powerful through them. Realizing this has been the driving force of a lot of the growth we've seen."
Youth Pastor concludes, "Don't undervalue the potential of student ministries and what they can do in their city and around the world. Just because they don't have a full-time job doesn't mean they don't have the passion for the lost to be saved. The reason I chose to do this is to show our church, our teenagers, and other teenagers that they have the ability to do anything. They're not just the future of the church—they're the church of the present."
