Watch the true story of how God healed a broken family through a Gospel for Asia national missionary.
Faithful When Rejected
National missionaries like Pastor Soy endure opposition every day as they proclaim the Gospel to people who desperately need Christ's love. As these workers remain faithful, God continues to open the hearts of those they serve to receive His message of redemption.
Become Part of Their Ministry
Gospel for Asia has thousands of national workers on the mission fields of Asia, but many more are needed to reach the millions of people in these countries who don't know Jesus.
Your part in reaching Asia is just as important as that of the missionaries on the field. By partnering with GFA, you can help share the Gospel with people who have never before heard of Jesus.

Who is the Messiah? by Dr. David Hocking
![]() |
| Mr. Hocking has been preaching and teaching for 40 years. David has pastored churches in Ohio and Southern California, and has been teaching on the radio since 1970. |
When it comes down to understanding God, the Bible, and how to be saved or have eternal life, or be in heaven forever – the issue is the MESSIAH! The Bible warns us that there will be many who say they are the Messiah, and they will deceive many people. There are many beliefs among the religions of the world as to the true identity of the Messiah. It can be very confusing. We have chosen to focus on what the Bible teaches on this matter.
The Gospel of John (in the Bible) records several miracles that Jesus did. In John 20:30-31, we read these important words about the Messiah:
“And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name.”
Peter (one of the disciples of Jesus) said in Acts 4:12:
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Salvation is not the result of attending a church, synagogue, or mosque - or trying to be a good person. According to the Bible, salvation is found by believing that Jesus is the Messiah and the only One Who can save us from sin, death, and hell. The Hebrew prophet Isaiah quotes the Messiah in Isaiah 45:22-23:
“Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all ye ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by Myself, the word is gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongues shall swear.”
These verses are quoted in the New Testament in Philippians 2:9-11:
“Wherefore God (the heavenly Father) also hath highly exalted Him (Jesus), and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus the Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
As you can clearly see, it is God’s purpose and plan to exalt His Son, our Savior, and that all should acknowledge that Jesus the Messiah is Lord!
The Bible presents in great detail the genealogy of the Messiah. After the global flood, Noah and his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, begin to repopulate the earth. His son, Shem (which means “name”), becomes the one through whom the Messiah will come. This line of Shem leads us to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob’s name was changed to “ISRAEL” and his fourth son by his wife, Leah, is named “JUDAH” and is the Jewish tribe through whom the Messiah will come (Genesis 49:10). The line of Judah brings us to a man named “Jesse” (Isaiah 11:1) and to his son “DAVID.” To this young shepherd, God promised a descendant who would bless the entire world. It was his son, Solomon, who built the Jewish Temple (destroyed by Babylon in 586 BC). His line was the royal line of Jewish kings that would bring us the Messiah. One of his future descendants was Joseph, the one who would marry a young Jewish virgin named “Miryam” (Mary) who became pregnant before he could marry her. The Bible teaches that the Messiah would be born from a virgin’s womb (Psalm 132:11; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23), and it even names the place where the Messiah would be born – Bethlehem (Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:1-6).
There is a fascinating prophecy in Malachi 3:1:
“Behold, I will send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me; and the Lord, Whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, Whom ye delight in: behold, He shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Malachi writes AFTER the destruction of the Temple of Solomon by Babylon in 586 BC, so this prophecy cannot refer to that temple. Also, there has been no temple since 70 AD when the Romans destroyed the Second Temple (built and restored by Herod the Great). The only time that the above passage could have been fulfilled was the time the Second Temple was still standing! The first “messenger” of Malachi 3:1 who will prepare the way of the Lord was John the Baptist. The second “Messenger of the covenant” is the Messiah Himself!
The Messiah would come into this world (the first time) to suffer and die for the sins of all humanity (Isaiah 53). The Bible teaches very clearly that Jesus not only died on that Roman cross for our sins, but that He arose from the dead on the third day after He died. Talk about incredible news! The Messiah is NOT dead – HE IS ALIVE!
After ascending back to heaven (Acts 1:9-11), He promised that He would come again (John 14:1-6). He is the hope of the entire world!
Here’s the problem: It is not enough to know these Biblical facts; according to the Bible, we must put our faith and trust in the Messiah Himself as our only hope of salvation and eternal life. Romans 10:13 says:
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:17 adds:
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”
Our faith is in the words of the Bible about the true identity of the Messiah. We encourage you to take out a moment of your time right now, and call upon the only One Who can save you! As we confess and repent of our sins, and believe that Jesus died and paid for our sins, and rose again from the dead, putting our trust and faith in Him alone, the Bible assures us that we will be saved!

Tips on living a Christian Life from Air1.com

When you decide to follow Jesus, you're a “new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). You have the opportunity to start over; your past sins have been forgiven. So what now? We want to help you grow closer to God and strengthen your faith. Here are some tips to get you going:
- Read Your Bible Every DayThe Bible is inspired by God and is meant to give us a guide for living by. It has answers and tips to help you please God. If you're looking for a place to start, try the book of Luke in the New Testament. It tells the story of Jesus and lessons on how to live life. The book of Acts is a great follow up; it tells the story of how Christ’s disciples spread the message of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection.
As you read, ask for God to help you understand His Word. Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your law (Psalm 119:18). Don't just read the words, study and analyze it. Write down questions you have and ask a pastor or a knowledgeable Christian to help understanding the messages. - Pray with God Every Day
Talk with God frequently. Tell Him your problems and thank Him for who He is and what He's done. Confess your sins and admit your weaknesses to God. Ask Him to help show you how to a better life that pleases Him. Pray for others, that they too may follow Jesus and surrender control of their lives to Him. - Depend on the Holy Spirit When you choose to follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit actually lives within you (Romans 5:5; John 14:16-17). The Holy Spirit will teach you, guide you, and strengthen you in times of need.
- Attend Church Regularly
When you became a Christian, you formed an authentic personal relationship with Jesus. It is important, though, to also have authentic connections with other Christians. In a fireplace, many logs burn together. They create heat and warmth, but one log alone will quickly die out. Likewise, we too need other believers to keep our faith vibrant and growing. Churches are places where you can worship God and make Him the focus of your life with other like-minded individuals. - Be of Service to Others
Jesus wants us to give our lives to serve Him, and to serve others. If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will find true life (Mark 8:35). The more you give yourself to others, the more you will enjoy your Christian life. - Conquer Your Doubts
Everyone has doubts, and especially when it comes to our faith. Perhaps you have failed or surrendered repeatedly to temptation, and you doubt that you are really a Christian. Remember, you were not saved because of the good things you do, but rather by putting your trust in what Christ has already done for you. Trust God’s Word over your own subjective feelings. I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you many know that you have eternal life (I John 5:13). - Live One Day at a Time
We often become anxious about what might happen tomorrow. God promises that He will meet our needs if we will seek first His righteousness (see Matthew 6:33-34). God’s grace will be sufficient enough to meet the obstacles that each new day brings. - Learn How to Deal with Temptation
Temptation is a part of life and will not go away when you become a Christian. You're not helpless though, and you do not have to yield to the temptation to sin. God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Take advantage of God’s “way out” of temptation, whether it means that you “flee” the scene of temptation (I Timothy 6:11), or that you stay and “resist” it (James 4:7; I Peter 5:8-9). - Tell Others About Jesus
Tell others about your commitment to follow Jesus--by word or by action. It can be one of the most satisfying and exciting experiences in your life. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have (I Peter 3:15).

The Incomparable Christ
He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
There is a little tract that is published by the Faith, Prayer and Tract League and its title is: The Incomparable Christ which I heard Pastor David Hocking share. I'd like to also share a few lines out of this tract so that your heart too might be warmed.
He came from the throne of the Father to the womb of a woman. He put on humanity that we might put on divinity. He became Son of Man that we might become sons of God.
He was born in a supernatural way, lived in poverty, and was reared in obscurity. He had neither wealth nor influence, yet the wisdom of men has never matched His wisdom. Never has a man spoken like this man.
His family was inconspicuous and uninfluential. In infancy He startled a king. As a boy He stunned theologians with his knowledge and wisdom, for He was taught of God. In manhood He ruled the elements and quieted the raging sea. He healed the multitudes without medicine, and fed thousands from a boy's lunch. Even demons obeyed Him and He gave back life to those who died.
He never wrote a book, yet none of the libraries of the world could contain the books that have been written about Him. He never wrote a song, yet He has furnished the theme of more songs than all song writers combined. He never founded a college, yet all the colleges together cannot boast of as many students as He has.
He never marshaled an army yet no leader ever had more volunteers.
Great men have come and gone, yet He lives on. Herod could not kill Him. Satan could not tempt Him to sin. Death could not destroy Him. The grave could not hold Him.
He laid aside His purple robe for a peasant's gown. He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor. He slept in another's manger; He rode on another's donkey; He was buried in another's grave.
He conquered death and rose on the third day as He said He would. He ascended into heaven and is now at the right hand of the throne of God. One day He will return with power and great glory to judge the world when every knee shall bow to Him and every tongue shall confess Him as Lord-His friends gladly, but His enemies seeking for a place to hide from His face.
He is the Perfect One, the only One who can satisfy the soul. He gives everlasting life to those who love Him and obey His commandments. He is altogether lovely, and He is my Savior.

To all who are ready to accept and believe Him, God gives these words of promise:
“As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” John 1:12
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
